THE OFF-BROADWAY SINGERS Present “GOODBYE, ITALIAN GUY”

Several years of spectacular Broadway Musical Review Shows at Arthur Voaden Secondary School, featuring “The Off-Broadway Singers” under the direction of Tom Pietrangelo are coming to an end as Mr. Pietrangelo is retiring in June, 2016.

The last performances by this acclaimed group will take place at the school on June 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th, and will feature numbers from several famous Broadway musicals, including “Phantom of the Opera”, “Ragtime”, “Chicago” and “West Side Story”. Tickets will be available for $15.00 each in advance at the school, and at the door.

These final shows will require funds of approximately $14,000.00 to cover the costs for band musicians, arranger, choreographer, costumes, wireless stage sound, publicity, and lighting design. The Singers have already begun fundraising for the show with a Thanksgiving pie sale, Christmas caroling, and an Easter pie sale. The group hopes these efforts will cover $3000.00 towards the cost of the shows, but we are counting on you to help promote and fund Mr. P’s last shows.  Here’s how you can help:

  • Buy advanced tickets at the school, beginning in April.

  • Make sure your family, friends, and colleagues attend a show.

  • Contribute to the fundraising efforts for the show by providing a monetary donation.  Cheques can be made payable to AVSS Music and dropped off at the school.  (Income Tax receipts for donations over $50.00 will be issued by the Thames Valley District School Board.)

Thank you for helping us to reach our potential, and for providing us, our school, and our community with the opportunity to say good-bye to Mr. P, the Italian guy.
